Peer Review of Treatments

Our consultants' decisions are constantly peer reviewed. This means that the recommended treatments for individual patients are discussed with oncology colleagues, surgeons and other consultants to ensure that we are truly providing the highest possible standard of treatment.

We also use the capability provided by our technology and software to monitor our own progress and the effectiveness of the treatment we provide. We use advanced computer technology to ensure that every oncologist who works at LOC always recommends the very latest treatment and drug proven to be the best for a particular kind of cancer, and to see that it is applied consistently. This accumulated knowledge and experience is captured and set-out in our own protocols. These are the detailed guidelines for treating each particular kind of cancer based on the international consensus view of what is the best treatment.
