Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology
We are able to offer you a range of treatments which either separately or in combination can enhance your sense of well-being by alleviating some of your stress and anxiety . They may also help you to manage symptoms such as muscular tension, pain, nausea, fatigue, weakness and sleeping difficulties.
Massage uses natural base oils with a variety of light body massage strokes to help achieve relaxation. Different areas of the body may be massaged to individual preference or alternatively Indian Head Massage may be given through clothing to the head and upper body.
Aromatherapy uses essential oils - natural aromatic oils extracted from plants. This is often administered in the form of a massage using essential oils diluted in a base oil to form a blend formulated to suit specific individual needs. This blend is then used to give a gentle body massage to different areas of the body.
Reflexology is based on the belief that there are reflex areas on the feet and hands which correspond to various other parts of the body. Specific pressure and manipulation techniques to the feet or hands are used with the aim of helping to bring the body into a state of relaxation and natural balance.
Although none of these therapies are directly funded by any of the insurance companies we are happy to offer two sessions free of charge to those coming to us for their cancer treatment. We do though make a modest charge for further sessions.
