Dr Chris Cottrill BSc PhD MRCP FRCR
Consultant Clinical Oncologist Barts and The London NHS Trust
Dr Chris Cottrill was awarded his Medical and Natural Sciences degrees by the University of London and completed seven years of specialist postgraduate training in Clinical Oncology (radiotherapy and chemotherapy) in 1998. In that time he was a Registrar at three London Teaching Hospitals and the Mount Vernon Centre for Cancer Treatment and a Senior Registrar at The Royal Marsden Hospital.
Dr Cottrill has a particular interest in combined modality therapy (combination chemo-radiotherapy) and with his colleagues at St Bartholomews Hospital he has brought state of the art techniques, such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), into everyday practice.
Dr Cottrill lectures on evidence-based oncology at the European School of Radiotherapy each year and is a course organiser and examiner for Londons Institute of Cancer Research postgraduate oncology degree.
