Cancer Services Clinical Director Lead Clinician in Medical Oncology Barts and the London NHS Trust

As Clinical Director at the Barts and The London NHS Trust, Dr Gallagher is responsible for medical, clinical, and haematiological oncology plus palliative care, clinical haematology, and breast surgery. He leads the development of cancer services in the Trust and their contribution to the North East London Network.

He is the secretary of the Association of Cancer Physicians, a committee member of the Royal College of Physicians joint speciality committee for oncology, and a member of the joint council for clinical oncology, the NCRI gynaecological cancer trials committee, and the CRUK clinical trials awards advisory committee. Dr Gallagher leads several clinical trials of new drugs in breast and ovarian cancer treatment.
